Marketing information (including mailing lists)is typically available for a fee from professional organizations, both at the state and national level.
In terms of marketing, the main purpose for announcing a practice is to generate referals. Your area of specialization would be useful information; however, it is unlikely mailings alone will generate referals. Hopefully, you already have professional relationships with people who are inclined to refer clients to you. Otherwise, many follow up meetings are necessary so refering practicioners get to know you and your work.
