art therapy for adolescent male

Looking for some ideas for amiddle school aged male who is hostile toward women. He is aggressive and does not like to be given directions. I feel there is some separation anxiety but something else is going on in the home. His mom is passive aggressive and his father left when he was just a baby. There is a father figure in the home but he does not address him as a dad even though he is the olny dad he could possibley remember. I feel there may be some form of abuse toward mother and he is acting out in some ways what he has seen.
