I have an undergraduate degree in Fine Art and am in the process of applying to do my Masters in Art Therapy. However, I have reached a point where I have realized that the the recognition of an Art Therapy qualification will more than likely be superseded by a psychology qualification. Is this assumption correct as far as far financial remunertion goes? In which case my options seem to be as follows....pursue my Masters in Art Therapy and embark on the necessary functioning within certain institutions and after about seven years open my own practice or embark on another undergraduate degree in Psychology with art therapy subjects. Is this possible? Does anyone have any advice to give on this option. Any advice would be much appreciated.
