I am a doctoral student in clinical psychology and am doing a qualitative, phenomenological dissertation that seeks to answer the question what is the meaning of Parent for latency-age boys(age8-10). I am planning to use collage and story to get at the essence of Parent. There will be 10 boys broken into two separate groups and they willked to make a Collage that represents what the word Parent means to them. Then they will be asked to write a stroy about their collage. Is anyone aware of literature that talks about collage and art therapy with children and has anyone done collage with children and what was your experience Thanks, Marcia G.
