Hi, Anon I think you confuse art therapy and making art. I was an artist for many years (still am) and I'm now training as an art therapist. Big difference. Neither is 'more honest' than the other, I've seen no end of really stinky pretentious art. And the art I see produced by my art therapy clients is straight from their gut, so no interpretation from me, it is what it is. It helps their exploration of their issues at a non-verbal level, or so they tell me. Are you the same angry Anon from the other string? I wonder what you get out of attacking people in this forum?
