Im a graduate student at Concordia University working on my thesis. I am trying to see if directed art therapy can eventually lead to non-directive spontaneous art with children with autism. I am currently working in this area and found the results to be amazing already. I work with a little boy who draws the same car over and over and I showed him how to draw a person in the car. He is now putting people in the back seat, the front seat and generalizing this to other drawings. If anyone has any sources or information in this area I would be extremely grateful. I need to do a literature review and I am finding little information, other than Ellen Roth and her "reality shaping" technique.
Thank you for your help...
