Hi, I like to do a journaling exercise with students. A few 16-yr-old girls had lost their fathers and were dealing with grief issues. I direct them to write a dialogue between them and their fathers. This always brings up emotions. Next, if they can, (I've never taken the journal writing this far) they can work on the scene and add some theatrical components to it. I don't know, blocking, music, pantomime. It might prove to be very therapeutic.
