    PTSD and Dreams
    Molly · 08/19/01 at 10:57 PM ET

I have a client who is concerned about dreams they are having in relation to an assault that happened a few months ago. The dreams reflect escaping, futile attempts to find a safe haven, of feeling imprisoned, and some include the client's re-enactment of the assault, with them as the aggressor. This client says that they wake up just before the attackers catch up with them, or just before they find an escape route, and the client wants to be able to finish the dream with a satisfactory ending.

Any suggestions on how to help the client process these dreams and help them to resolve them with a satisfactory ending?
