One more thing to think about in pursuing your dream: which state do you plan on living in when you graduate? In many states, your art therapy degree may not be sufficient, you may need a counseling license to get work. However, if you want to work as an activity therapist (usually less salary), this may not be a problem. Visit schools before you decide, you may be surprised in the differences in facilities. Look for a good library, a large campus, and see how many internship possibilities they provide-- some will tell you, well you have to find your own! You will be paying lots of money for this education, make sure the program is meeting your needs for getting appropriate training and a job after graduation.
