If you haven't already discovered these sites, check out http://www.nldline.com and http://www.nldontheweb.org. Some people find NLD to be synonomous with Aspergers and others think it's higher functioning. But there's a lot of overlap.
I posted your question on the NLD board, and one mother said that music and art therapy were the best things in the world for her son. She said they helped much more than verbal therapy.
Personally, I think that anything that addresses those motor deficits and social deficits would be good.
