Arts in Arts Therapies training

Should we have experience of all Art forms
and as Arts Therapies within the training of all
arts therapists. At the ECARTE conference in
September 99 I will be presenting at a seminar
on this integrated approach to training.

The tradition thus far in the UK is to have
separate post-graduate trainings for each of
the Art forms as therapy.

There is one under-graduate course in Arts Therapies,
which gives integrated experience as well as specialism
in one chosen art pathway,which began in 1993 in Derby.

This course has parallels with other european courses over three or four years,
but what about world-wide?

I look forward to meeting interested parties at the Munster conference.
