melody instead of prosody

Hi Elizabeth, I'm a medical student working on my research project named M.I.T for aphasic patients. The idea is to rehabilitate pts suffering from Broca's aphasia by using melodic intonation therapy. The methodology includes four phases. It begins with giving the pt a simple short melodic phrase without words. Then words are added to the melody and finally music will be omitted and the words willbe pronounced with an exaggerated prosody.
