Dedicated to encourage healing through the arts, Survivors Art Foundation is a not-for-profit organization committed to empowering visual and performing artists with collective creativity and effective expressive outlets, via education, web gallery, outreach programs, and activism. Our goals are to promote the healing and well-being of trauma survivors and to advance public awareness, thereby enabling the amelioration and prevention of the causes of trauma.
The Foundation also is currently gathering works for an upcoming book offer we have received, artist/members will be compensated. S.A.F. plans and executes multi-media exhibitions and shows, where members may sell their work. The web gallery provides free space to exhibit their craft. Membership is free, and consists of visual arts, photography, sculpture, video/film, music, multi-media, dance, theater, crafts/mixed media, literature & poetry, et.al. Funding is through corporate and individual donations.
All trauma survivors are welcome, including but not limited to: physical & domestic violence, sexual abuse, incest, rape, PTSD, torture & war related trauma, illness such as cancer & AIDS, mental illness, et.al.
