Check other graduate theses

The best place to start, after you narrow your hypothesis is, other graduate AT programs. There are not that many programs.  A thesis has probably been done on the population that you are researching where some one else in the field has done most of the preliminary and background work.  Once you find the author of the thesis call them and I know they will be happy to help you.Good Luck.
P.S.Don't think that you have to stick with the subject.  You may not find enough information to prove you theory.
