Greetings,
My name is Jess Leffler and I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University where I studied psychology and studio art. As a result of the dedication that I have for these two areas, I hope to pursue Art Therapy, a combination and, in my mind, the culmination of my foremost passions, as a career. Yet, since I am only 22, I wish to take some time off from schooling and travel (ideally outside of the United States), before settling down. Yet, there are two important considerations; first of all I need to make atleast some money while on my travels, and secondly, I would like to be gaining some experience in the field of art therapy at the same time. And that is why I am posting this message- for some advice. I am a very hard worker, and although I do not technically have any experience in "art therapy", I have been volunteering in various settings (such as on crisis hotlines, abuse centers, homeless shelters etc.) and I have been very committed to art, throughout my life. So, any suggestions or job ideas, that you might have would be greatly appreciated!
I can be contacted with questions or comments at "lefflers@aol.com"
Thank you very much for your time.
Cheers!
Jess Leffler : )
