Renowned Mexican Artist and Art Therapist Instructing Art Seminars in Puerto Vallarta
Internationally acclaimed Artist and Architect Guillermo Rincon, recently back from his sabbatical in South America, has teamed up with Art Therapist Rebecca Ratekin to instruct Art Therapy workshops in Puerto Vallarta. The week-long seminars entitled “Arte De Mexico” will be held starting December 27th and will run through mid-May.
The goal of the workshops is to provide an understanding of the richness of historic Mexico, Mexican art, and its traditional techniques. “This is accomplished through instruction of Mexico’s indigenous artistic mediums”, says Rincon, “including acrylics on Amate paper, water color painting by the seashore, ceramic and clay painting design, acrylics on stone in the tropical rainforest, and a Huitchol Indian bead on wood demonstration.”
The workshops are geared for those who desire to experience the essence of the culture in the places they visit. Additionally, Continuing Education Units as well as Multicultural Art Therapy Credits are available for those who attend. The $595 fee includes tuition, accommodations, breakfast and lunch each day, land travel, and art materials. For more information, call 916-883-4095 or visit www.baddogcomputer.com/artforms.
