Since asking if anyone had information about music therapy, especially as it might be used in palliative care, I've discovered a new world: national associations of music therapists, their own journals, conferences, etc. They have done some important and fascinating work. I suffested to the national assoc that they publish outside of or in addition to their own music Rx journals, so that the rest of us can get a glimpse of what's going on. It was fascinating to me to learn that an enormous amount of activity now occurs in hospitals and other settings, using music Rx to assist patients with all kinds of problems. In case anyone else in interested: National Assoc for Music Therapy, Silver Spring, MD. (301) 589-3300.
