Thank's for the 'bitching' exercise. I work w/adolescents - drug and behavior problems - and they do NOT want to be in treatment. I have them on the weekends where they really get restless and an exercise like this helps validate their feelings. What can I follow with to help redirect their thinking. I'm just a mental health technician w/a variety of experience and no degree and am always searching for new ideas.
I'm also working hard on ideas for them to achieve physical release in a safe manner - often they can't even go outdoors because there is not enough staff to stay inside w/the ones still on precautions. Dancing deteriorates into sexual references, tossong balls gets too aggressive.
I used to have the 'new games' book (I think that's the name)and can barely remember the ideas.
Thanks very much for this site
Eliska
