Dale, Gestalt therapy and addictions sounds good. I've been attempting to use Gestalt with 12 step work -- but I have found (maybe because of my skill level) that Gestalt tends to work better with more educated clients. I love the here and now, my professor at ASU, Jack, told me to sit down and shut up -- stop thinking -- just feel and experience. I loved it, still love it, but I am experiencing problems when working with clients. Other professionals also seem to destroy the work, they blow the learning cure out of the water. I would love to hear more of how you incorporate step work with Gestalt. We need you in the field of addictions, keep going.
