Bob and Dale, As with the poem which emerged as a figure to offer in response to the last post by Dale, I looked up and saw a book here on my shelf titled.... "Grace Unfolding - Psychotherapy in the Spirit of the Tao-te ching." I opened the book to see what emerged and the chapter was titled "Claiming" and read as follows... If you want to become whole, let yourself be partial. If you want to become straight, let yourself be crooked. Here is a nice statement of what Gestalt therapy would later label the paradoxical theory of change. We move beyond our present situation by claiming it. If you want to become full, let yourself be empty. If you want to be reborn, let yourself die.
