I'm insulted that when a clinician speaks from the heart he or she is met with an immediate slam. I also read the original research. The researchers said that they found EMDR better because there was less wear and tear on the vets. That's what people who have been treating vets have been saying for years. Now this new revisit is being circulated as if to show EMDR doesn't work or doesn't hold. That's not the experience in the vet centers and we've been doing it for years. Do you think treating only one or two memories out of dozens is going to show up positively 5 years later? Why do journals publish things that don't show any reasonable clinical sense?
