I have a question about using alternate nostril breathing. it was recommended by a therapist as a good relaxation method. I also know it is used by people who have panic attacks and things like that. My question is how is alternate nostril breathing actually effective? I know that it gets both hemispheres of the brain activated, but I am not sure exactly what the breathing method does, or is supposed to do.
