EMDR group therapy needs to be provided by an experienced EMDR therapist who also has a specialty in providing group therapy. Group members deserve to be carefully screened prior to starting group in order to provide each member the degree of safety necessary for healing. People who happen to have a Dissociative Disorder may find individual EMDR safer and less confusing. If you have specific questions about treatment you have previously received or witnessed, it may be helpful to discuss these questions in person with an experienced EMDR therapist who has additional expertise with dissociative symptoms. Feel free to e-mail me if you have further questions. Karen Forte, DCSW, LCSW
