Dr. Shapiro,
It sounds to me as though EMDR achieves similar purposes and is procedurally similar to Dianetics Counseling. Have you read Dianetics by L. Ron Hubbard (1950) and if so were you influenced by that work?
Also, several writers have referred to your creating EMDR "accidentally". Could you tell the story on that?
Finally, is there someplace on-line that I could read you articles?
