    Recalling small &lllaos;t&lllaos; trauma

    Dr. Shapiro:

My therapist has just recommended that we try EMDR. We are in early stages of therapy and so far he believes that I have certain fears, probably linked to events in my past. I'm 39, and so far, there have not been any big "T" traumas in my life. I can think of a few small "t" traumas, but not many. I lived a pretty normal, nonexciting childhood. Any thoughts on recalling small "t" events that may have shaped our behaviors?

    Thanks,

    Jerry
