 Re:EMDR and BDD
 It appears as though a variety of small "t" trauma can contribute to this disorder and can be treated with EMDR.  Positive reports with this population have also been published: Brown, K.W., McGoldrick, T. & Buchanan, R. (1997). Body dysmorphic disorder: Seven cases treated with eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy, 25, 203-207.  Hopefully large-scale research can follow since this disorder afflicts 10% of those with social phobia and is responsible for unnecessary plastic surgeries and suicides born of needless suffering.
