    sex addiction

My husband of 5 years has just confessed to sexual addiction. He's been acting out with men and women for more than a decade. We are considering having him undergo EMDR because he believes his addiction stems from a childhood rape. How beneficial would EMDR be for him? We have located a trained therapist in our area. And would it be helpful for me to do it as I deal with my own trauma from the revelation.Thanks.
