Documented Success Experience

I've sent for and received a list of EMDR therapists in my state with indications of who the Facilitators in our state are but how do I go about determining their "documented success experience"? It has been suggested to me by a Level I trained therapist that a BPD sufferer may never be stabilized enough to undergo EMDR therapy yet my son is interested in trying it.
