what happened?

Hello!
What happened to this discussion? I hope it has not soured due to the recent (controversial) semi-professional "debates" that have been happening on this panel as of late.
I am not a professional, nor do I really have much to contribute at this time; however, I do look to this site for information, insight, and more thorough examination of the topic.
I look forward to your posts, so I hope that things begin to pick up around here in the near future. If, however, you are all unavoidably busy, please disregard this little note of concern.
