    An interesting article, Richard. I like the idea of studying "anticipated trauma" - and I suspect that it is related to real, previous trauma in a person's life. Y2K anxiety may be a classic example of an "millenium reaction." Here's a piece on Y2K anxiety in "The Psychology of Cyberspace" that you might find interesting:
