    This is a good point, Tama, and I'm sure that some depressed/socially isolated are drawn to the internet. I don't know the details of the study yet, but I believe the research design enabled them to determine the direction of causality..... i.e., being in cyberspace (supposedly) CAUSED the depression and loneliness.
