Hiya,
I'm curious about what aspects of the online situation influence people's beliefs about whether their online interactions/relationships are "real" or not. This underlying belief about whether it's real or not would seem to me to be an important assumption that would tend to influence their online interactions in many ways and tend to result in a self-fulfilling prophesy type situation.
Any ideas about how specifics of the online situation affect whether people act congruently with their in-person persona?
Out for now,
Betty
