    I'm glad Patti mentioned this ability to get "wrapped up" in an imaginary environment. Maybe there's a significant difference among people in their ability to "immerse" themselves into a book, movie, or online environment. That may account for why some people absolutely love online communities, while others respond to the idea with glazed over eyes or outright skepticism.
