Anonymity online....

Could it be that talking online (text only)...or not using video phones (as Dr. Suler mentioned)is allowing us the ability to reveal a certain amount of depth and feeling but yet giving us a place to "hide" as it were behind this screen...and watch or listen to anothers reaction...this then allowing us to cautiously view how others perceive us...just a thought...
