Hello, I have recently participated in a collaborative learning project through a graduate program at Webster University Geneva. It was a fascinating experience corresponding with other Americans via forum discussions. However, my fellow students (American and foreign alike) found it difficult to get over the communication barriers presented throughout the course- the US may have felt similarly! My question- how to communicate efficiently and effectively in cyberspace, despite cultural diversity, creating a learning environment, rather than the superficial environment we felt (superficial in course content as well as communication)?
