I decided to help prove my point, I signed this post as "Victor Laluz, Simillion". Victor Laluz is my name that I use in public situations, such as social security numbers and talking to friends. Simillion is my "online personality". I'll try to prove the net is "real".
In the "offline world" (note: I am trying not to use "Real Life" and "Virtual Life") I am Victor, a person who is normally quiet, not too outgoing, and keeps ideas to himself, since society seems to want me to act that way.
In the "Online World" There are no boundaries. Society rubbing off from the Offline World has vanished, so internet users are free to express whatever thoughts they wish. There are those who express violent and dangerous thoughts, and those who express Brilliant or other thoughts they never thought they would say. (The person who posted before me really hit here, with the "Wow, how did that slip out" remark).
The internet is a real place. Not many in society can freely express everything they feel. They get nervous, shy, or choke up. But the internet is nothing like that. I find myself turning into "some sort of brilliant professor" whenever I start discussing my opinions on the net. The internet is real since our real feelings are so visible.
