Hello!
I don't hide, by the way, and don't change nicknames. I have nothing to be ashamed for my internet use; 8 hours/day on-line every day is my regular minimum :)
I think, that some people can hide time of their on-line use, but some people not. It depends very much on citcimstances, on what do people around them, their friends and relatives think about Internet in general...
If a person has nothing to be afraid, if his relatives don't call him a computer maniac just because he spends with computer some hours/day... then he wouldn't hide.
