effect on a worker's output

i heard that Texas Instruments did a study on this. i tried to get in touch with their research department. unfortunately, they are still trying to look for the study. i don't know the research title nor the author, so they can't really help me very much. though access to internet may be useful for some occupation (like research), i would like to focus on the effect of unlimited access to the promptness of giving out outputs. anyone who may help he on this? thanks.
