How much will emotions drive behavior when shopping on the net? We know that in stores, impulse buying is a huge part of sales. People are live, in the environment, in front of the goods and stimulated emotionally by so many factors. How will this play out on line? People seem to buy on emotion and justify with fact. Retailers depend on this. In the technological environment of the net , with seemingly little stimulus to trigger impulse, emotional buying, what do you expect to happen? With the projections for shopping at home going through the roof, what do we think will happen and how will emotions impact it?
