That's fine by me, Tony, for you to use that quote from my article. I don't mind people using excerpts from my online works (as long as they cite the work).
Which raises the whole issue of "ownership" and "intellectual property" on the web. In the old days, when the internet was used mostly by academics and scientists, everyone assumed information would be shared.
If we think of the internet as having a "personality" or "character"... is it changing over time? Or becoming more multifaceted? Is it a reflection of the mind or "personality" of the global community?
