Blind Faith

John, Are you O.K.? - Happy New Year, But I think you are missing the point, or just day dreaming. This is where the word "Lackadaisical" comes to my mind. It means showing lack of interest or spirit; listless; languid. As we speak, on this online community, it becomes an aspect of group therapy. (wide open) As such, or as it is a network. In a social sense, networking relates to the gathering of various persons of similar interest for purposes of communicating those interests.
I can't go along with blind faith to wait for online communities to mature if it is affecting my business, being online in the present. In my Experience, the man who plays the dominant part of orchestrating the abuses on people is a grown man who works for the Fire Dept. , has a baby boy and is divorcing his wife. He didnt want me around because I was disrupting his program. He told me it is all part of the fun," in his opinion. Obviously, he is lewd and lascivious.
Also it just so happens that I met most of these people, before they started abusing me online, when I was invited to a party. The person who invited me said I could sleep over but I had to bring my own pillow. But My experience was more than an observation of and theory of their power structure being created, as it was attempted to be exercised on me at the party. As the person who invited me over went to sleep, one of the other House mates had to start on me. I had to leave, and drive home 2 hours after being up all night, if I didnt respond to it the way that was expected. So I found out, first hand.
So I'll have to concurr with BC ( the person who posted under "harassment in General" ) about being appalled by such behavior and echo the question "should we lower our standards in cyber space because 'after all you can always disconnect'"?
