Yes, I was intrigued by that section of your online book. It's interesting to reflect on cyberspace in its full context in the "real world." That is, if you remember that making the shift to an ascii- (or html) only mode of consciousness is a conscious choice. We do this because we want to (or have to, or need to, for some reason), so the consciousness of each cyber-naut is not limited to ascii, except at certain times. Conversely, if we use the "psychosphere" model of the 'net, then we can include the offline consciousness of the individual users as the "unconscious mind" of the psychosphere or collective cyber-entity.
