PSYCHOLOGY OF CYBERSPACE

    Collective Unconscious

I think what I'm getting at is that the internet represents mankind's attempt to "replicate" the collective unconscious. I think many people have a desire to tap into the connectedness that each of us has with others, the past, the environment, etc. I see the collective unconscious as the way we do this on the subconscious level. I see a great deal of religious/spiritual practice as an attempt to bring this connectedness to the conscious level. Following that line of thought, the internet would be a technological attempt to do the same thing.
