I don't understand the beauty of MUD's and MUSH'es. For me, they are boring, too. I don't like fantasy and I don't like to imagine dwarfs and hobbits being in telnet text-screen.

I've tried Active Worlds, but it was boring for me, too. And, it works wery slowly (I had to set 16 bit color instead od 24 bit, even... to make it faster)

So the Old Merry IRC is my choice :)
