    I agree completely:

    That Don's card-intervention was inspired.

    That Don is exquisitely sensitive to the affective atmosphere

    That single channel communication blots out the music here for all of us

    But:

    Doesn't this last observation apply to Henry's work as well? I assume it is possible to pursue "Socratic questioning" as a collaborative project with the patient in an atmosphere that doesn't elicit shame. I didn't hear Henry advocate being a "blank screen."

    I also wonder if you have an opinion about whether a personality change had occurred in Harold as a consequence of the therapy. I thought that was one of the things Henry was asking. From an affect-script point of view it may be that "personality" is not a useful construct. Is that so?
