    A basic requirement surely has to be that there is some evidence for the effectiveness of the therapeutic approach which the therapist intends to use? There are some approaches which might be effective, but which have not been shown to be so; these should, of preference be avoided. That doesn't leave very many approaches. Jim, you might want to be conciliatory on this matter, I think that sometimes if you bend over backwards in that respect you are in some danger of falling over!!
