And your therapist can hardly label someone s/he hasn't even met as toxic. (Talk about inaccurate and unfair presumptions.) Yes it is unfair and inaccurate isn't it? That is exactly what Joan Weiss, MA, CSW did to a person. She labeled a good man as being toxic, without even meeting the man. Visit http://www.shrinkmagazine.com to see exactly what she did to (at least) one of her clients, doing therapy by proxy. Yes, it does. Sometimes it's easier to condemn others than condemn oneself. Isn't it? You seem rather adept at condemning your 'toxic parent' and dilettantes with PhDs . . . how about considering what compels you to do that? Yes the truth hurts. I never condemned my parent. You missed the point by a country mile. I condemn therapists who condemn parents of clients as being toxic without even meeting them. And it is these therapists whom I call toxic. To families and marriages and couples. And yes, the truth hurts, doesn't it? Do I detect a bit of mis placed anger and counter transference here? :)
