Hello, We are putting together the final issue for our fourth year of publication and getting ready for volume five, our fifth year. Gestalt! is published by an organization, has an international board of editors, produces three issues each year, is reviewed, provides notice of newly published issues through an email list, and has persistent url [purl] capacity. I would like to take this opportunity to ask you if you'd be interested in contributing to next year's volume of Gestalt!. We will be focusing on training approaches, practices, issues involved in training, and training programs that have contributed significantly to the field. We will consider training strategies from outside the field of Gestalt therapy as well, especially if they might stimulate Gestalt trainers to become more effective, relevant, or involved in the larger field. We will be publishing in February, June, and late November of 2001. We will try to organize these various issues around the following general themes: * topical or focused training workshops or intensives As I said, Gestalt! is a reviewed journal; each major article is sent out to from 2 to 5 reviewers. The purpose and guidelines for Gestalt! can be found at the masthead (http://www.g-g.org/gej/masthead). If you are interested and would like to discuss any specific ideas that you have, I would be happy to talk more with you about them. Just send me an email to that effect. Thanks, and Warm Regards,
This is an invitation to participate in Gestalt!, on-line journal for Gestalt therapy (http://www.g-g.org/gej), and to share expertise with psychotherapists and teachers of psychotherapy from a collateral field. Let me describe the journal and focus the invitation; I hope that you will see it as a hand reaching out for collegial contact rather than an intrusion on your discussion.
* general intensives for training in Gestalt therapy
* training institutes and their programs
* academic programs
* issues, problems, challenges
* innovations
* directions for the future
