Re:Interview With Kurt Adler

Very interesting article, thanks for posting it. I have a good feeling for who Kurt is now and a better picture of his father, too. His ideas about pampering confuses me, though. He says a child pampers himself. Is this his was of saying that seeking pampering is the child's mis-directed goal? He also goes on to equate parents pampering as another form of child abuse, something that I've believed for some time. Both interfere with the child's movement into being able to have fruitful relationships and being a productive member of society. Comments?
