I am not aware of any research on this topic. In the Classical Adlerian approach, we do not ask for a "vivid moment" or for an "image that stands out." To keep the projective quality as pure as possible, we simply ask for "the earliest recollection." In this way, auditory or other sensory memories can be easily accessed.
